Mundernity is the ongoing collaboration of daily quirks between two artists. A constant stream of imagery developed by Sophie La Maitre documents the seemingly overlooked and underappreciated splendour of everyday things. Paired with the haiku musings of personal experience by Jensen; Mundernity is a compilation of everyday things, you may or may not have noticed.
As Jensen has recently moved to Shanghai, La Maitre & Jensen’s daily exchange becomes an online show and tell. Each click reveals the makers most recent work, works in progress, ideas that have yet to reach fruition. As each artist travels their daily journeys separately, they are consolidated in this virtual space. This exhibition (+7046) explores that sense of amalgamation, as this space belongs neither here nor there. (+7046) at Smart Casual invites you to enter these artists’ shared space.
